WOULD YOU ?

If your kids are bad, rude, disrespectful and throw temper tantrums would you allow them to get away with it.

If they stole, robbed, attacked others and broke in other peoples houses would you reward them.

Would you open your heart, confide in, tell your secrets to a gossip.

Would you give a robber, rapist or known murder the keys to your house.

If you saw that someone was attacking your kids and family would you just stand back and let them do it.

Would a policeman just stand there, turn away and not take action.

Would you reward bad behaviour.

Would you believe me if I told you that this is happening right now in front of our eyes yet we do not see it, in fact we just cover our eyes and ears and refuse to see it and even reward such behaviour and yes this is happening in the church.

When we allow this to happen and not deal with it then we are as bad as those who are doing it.  Guilty of partaking in their sin.

Its like we are nailing Jesus to that Cross again and then mocking him, Emptying the cross of its power and trampling the blood underfoot,  Having a form of (false) godliness but denying its power for which we will be judged for unless we all Repent.

And if they carry on in their sin then we have to let them go and not chase after them to appease them for they will manipulate you in their craftiness and gain control over you.

Also if they come to you - beware they may use your weak spots to get their way.

But if there is genuine repentance and desire to be free then the fruit of this will come forth for by their fruits you shall know them.

Let me tell you a story.

There was once a king who had everything he ever wanted - he had loads of money, big expensive cars and a fleet of jets, a whopping big palace to live in and many maids and servants that served him the best food at his beck and call.

One day he was on the roof of the palace looking out across the city when he saw one of the maids sun bathing on the roof of her house.

He continued to look at her and sin entered his heart and he desired to have her as his own but there was a problem - she was married to one of the servants.

Now he could of stopped this there and then by repenting and turning away but he did not so that little seed of sin took root in his heart and began to grow.

One day he asked the maid to come to his private room.

Then as the sin grew inside he made advances to her.

The maid knowing how powerful the king was and wanting to please him gave in and let the king do as he wanted.

Some time later the maid told the king she was pregnant and the dna test proved the king was the father.

The king now worried about his reputation, that the press would find out about it and it would all over the internet in seconds

So he made up a plan (as the sin continued to grow in him).

He would send the maids husband on a trip to collect a new fast car - he told the servant to have fun as he knew the servant was a petrol head and into top gear.

But on the way back the servant was killed as the car was too fast for him to handle. So the king thinking he had got away with it took the maid as his own.

Some time later a close friend visited him and told him a story of a rich man in his kingdom who had stolen from poor man.

The king was angry when he heard about this and demanded that rich man be punished and every he had taken from him so he would know what it was like to be poor.  (for the king was once poor himself when he was a boy)

The kings friend said - you are the one - and the king knew the God had put the finger on him and his sin clear before him.

His sin had grown and caused the death of an innocent person.

But had the king stopped at the beginning when he first looked then none of the above would have happen - the death of an innocent man would have not happened and sin would not of taken root had he turned away from temptation.

So this is what will happen if we allow and make excuses for bad behaviour.

If its not dealt with and disciplined then it will just grow and grow and many will get hurt - the sin will grow and when sin is fully grown death results.

So we must not let bad behaviour take root and just sweep it under the carpet but bring those who are doing this to repentance - call it tough love if you must for the Lord disciplines those he loves his children.

For God does not wink at sin so we should not as do so well - would we.

WOULD YOU.
