All the prophets knew that Elijah was going to be taken. They may not have known all the details and maybe some even had a vision of what was about to take place (actually saw the chariot of fire scooping up their mentor, father, and friend) but not until it actually happened did they know the exact details. That is where we find ourselves now ...sensing and discerning God bringing about changes in the Body.

This morning in my quiet time with the Lord, the Holy Spirit led me to the following scripture: I Kings 13:1-6.

"While Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer incense, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel and proclaimed against the altar by the word of the Lord and said, "O altar, altar, thus say the Lord: A son shall be born to the House of David, Josiah by name and he shall sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who offer incense on you, and human bones shall be burned on you. He gave a sign the same day, saying, "this is the sign that the Lord has spoken. The altar shall be torn down and the ashes that are on it shall be poured out."

When the king heard what the man of God cried out against the altar at Bethel, Jeroboam stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, "Seize him"! But the hand that he stretched out against him withered so that he could not draw it back to himself. The altar also was torn down, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign the man of God had given by the word of the Lord. The king said to the man of God, Entreat now the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, so that my hand may be restored to me.

So the man of God entreated the Lord; and the king's hand was restored to him, and became as it was before. Then the king said to the man of God, "Come home with me and dine and I will give you a gift. " But the man of God said to the king, " If you give me half of your kingdom, I will not go in with you;' nor will I eat food or drink water in this place."

As I was reading this, I believe the Holy Spirit was showing me a picture of our religious system. I focused on the consequence that came upon the King (Jeroboam) when he tried to resist the word of God through his sent servant. I believe this is the same kind of spirit that has already been and will try to raise its head up against God's decrees in our land.

In the spirit, I sense that the king stands for those in authority. God has an order and we must be respectful of that as we render unto the Caesars of our life and also render unto God what is God's. However, as in this instance, the king resisted the Word of God and God's judgment over an evil situation that He was in the process of dealing with and would deal with in the future.

Rather than the king coming into submission (he knew that what he had done was totally against God's laws) and repenting and turning back to the Lord with a humble spirit, he turned against the prophet and commanded him to be seized. (Those in authority, who don't like the truth or the word the prophets bring, seem to always try to bring God's servants into bondage). Could this be a warning to those who are strongly inclined to rely upon their flesh and personal agendas instead of listening to God's voice?

When Jeroboam attacked the prophet, he stretched out his hand toward the prophet and exercised his authority against him. God caused the king's hand to "wither" so that he could not pull it back to his side. The altar was split also as prophesied and the ashes spilled out.

I believe that the Holy Spirit is revealing that we are moving into a level of the prophetic where when those in authority stretch out their hands against the true servants and His revealed will, they are going to be touched in the same manner as Jeroboam. They will become "crippled" or "paralyzed" "withered" in their ministries and they themselves be brought into the bondage they desired to inflict on the SENT ones.

Just as Jeroboam had his own personal agenda that he knew was not God's prescribed way, so too there are those whom we have encountered today who are motivated by their own personal agendas and so turn their ears and hearts away from listening to God's guidance and path for their lives and their ministries. God is simply going to deal with them not because He does not love them, but because He has a will and a way and needs cooperation. He will over-rule their authority if it is in direct conflict with His. God will establish His sovereign authority and we need to be in line with whatever that is.

God's purpose for His sent ones is to bring loving correction and restore proper order those things that get out of alignment with God's will. As a Father, He disciplines his children because He loves them. All who are in ministry need guidance and should come to respect the place of those who come in the name of the Lord with light and revelation that is meant to help and heal.

Because of the abuses that have come in this area, I can understand wanting to reach out and embrace this part of the ministry is touchy at best, but it still needs to be given a chance. We have got to come to the place where we can all work together as a team... bringing all the members together to function as the Body. There have always been and will be false prophets... BUT that does not disqualify or set aside the true servants. Even now there is some "counterfeiting" or "copying and imitation" of the true prophetic going on by those who are either over zealous "want-to-bes" or who have appointed themselves rather than responding to or having a true calling.

His word tells us to "watch and to be on guard". It says in the last days satan and his followers will work signs and wonders so that "IF IT WERE POSSIBLE" (which is not possible for those who are watching and praying) the elect would be deceived. Lest we forget, there is going to come a great falling away.

Already, many of our churches are filled with pastors, and leaders that are full of their on agendas, doctrines, programs, and deadness to the Holy Spirit. They have fallen away from their first love and their original callings. (They truly have the form of godliness but DENY the power) II Timothy 3:5 "Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." That is the Apostate church. It is right here right now in front of our very eyes fighting against the prophetic.

I believe God can heal and resurrect some of them through the truth of his sent words and through the WORD OF LIFE just like this prophet prayed for the king and God healed his arm. Some of them recognize that they have gotten off the track and are hungering to be restored. God is wooing them back to Himself.

God knows the ones crying out to Him for restoration and I believe they will come to the true servants or they will be sent to them with compassion and healing in their wings. But others may not cry out to God until they see His power and judgments come to pass around them and so understand His authority. God will have a people who desire a relationship with Him and nothing short of that will do or will satisfy.

Be encouraged! God is in the process of doing a mighty work in this land. He will be made known to all the inhabitants on this earth in one way or another. Satan knows this and that is why he is striving so hard to launch attacks of disunity, bickering and jockeying for positioning within the ranks.

Abba's desire is that we come together in prayer, forgiveness, humility, and unity to bring about God's unique awesomeness and authority blended with great compassion and love to his prophetic community and to His Body. He longs to reward those for the times of testings, persecutions, and disciplines (training) that she has endured these past few years and to produce fruitfulness and a good harvest.

God's "Prophetic Baby Boomers" are mature now, have been trained, tested, and are ready to move onto the scene with fire in their bellies, steel in their backbones, and compassion for the many wounded and broken. These will move in authority and power for the Father.

My prayers is that the apostles and all in ministry begin to realize that they cannot do what they need to without the help of prophetic community. It is God's work and He will do it. He will bring to pass that which furthers His Kingdom here on earth. We must stand strong and know that God is faithful and will reward those who diligently seek him and go forward in faith believing He has already made their path straight and opened doors before them.

There is a new breed of prophets who will discern between faith and presumption (which is a subject that has been dealt with before on the lists). Presumption has caused many a shipwreck and so needs to be discerned and taught in the Body of Christ. That is what prophets do.they pinpoint errors and weaknesses within the Body and try to bring light and teaching and correction so that we may grow up unto Christ in truth and righteousness.

PRAYER:

Father, in Jesus' Name, stretch forth Your mighty hand and seal the callings and anointings you have placed on your prophets that You have raised up and trained by your own hand for such as time as this. We thank you for those who are already out there on the front lines and giving their all for You. Protect them and grant them continued favor and wisdom.

For those that are about to make their entrance, please go before and make room and open wide the doors for them because they will not always look like, act like and be like those who have gone before. Open the eyes of you Body to see them, recognized them, and accept them and honor them. Stretch for your hand to empower them with signs and wonders following them. Let not your Words return to You void, Father.

Let Your fire, power, authority, favor and great grace move on and in them so that they might be bold as lions and yet tempered with love and compassion. Cause them to rise up and set the "captives free" and bring light, freedom, and Your will to this earth... to your people, Oh God.

Cause prayers and intercessions that come from Your throne room to come forth from their spirits and mouths as a blazing fire that will bring life and healing or destruction to the unholy evil that would rise up its ugly head to usurp your authority or will. Place a holy seal (Your Hand) over their mouths when tempted to prophesy out of their own spirits or hearts.

Please reveal your will in all matters that pertain to life and godliness and holiness. So let it be Abba, Father in the sweet name of Jesus Christ your only Son. AMEN!
