THE POWER OF TRUE UNITY - A SCRIPTURE FEAST.

Psalm  -  133.

 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity !

It is like precious oil poured on the head, Running down on the beard, Running down on Aaron’s beard, Down upon the collar of his robes.

It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on mount Zion.

For there the Lord bestows his blessing, Even life for ever more.

 Romans  -  12  -  v -  4 to 10.

 Just as each of us has one body with many members,  And these members do not have all the same function,  So in Christ we who are many form one body,  And each member belongs to all the others.

We have different gifts,  According to the grace given us.

If a mans gift is prophesying,  Let him use it in proportion to his faith.

If it is serving,  Let him serve;  If it is teaching, Let him teach,  If it is encouraging,  Let him encourage;  If it is contributing to the needs of others, Let him give generously;  If it is leadership,  Let him govern diligently;  If it is sowing,  Let him do it cheerfully.

Love must be sincere.  Hate what is evil;  Cling to what is good.

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.

Honour one another above yourselves.

Romans    -   12  - v -  16 to 18.

 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud,  But be willing to associate with people of low position.    Do not be conceited.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil.  Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.

If it is possible,  As far as it depends on you,  Live at peace with everyone.

 Ephesians   4  -  v - 1 to 6.  Or all Ephesians 4.

 As a prisoner for the Lord,  Then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

Be completely humble and gentle,  Be patient,  Bearing with one another in love.

Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.

There is one body and one spirit,  Just as you were called to one hope when you were called to one hope when you were called,  One Lord, One faith,  One baptism,  One god and Father of all,  Who is over all and through all and in all.

 Ephesians  4  -  v - 25.  And v 32.

 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbour,  For we are all members of one body.

Be kind and compassionate to one another,  Forgiving each other,  Just as in Christ god forgave you.

 James  2  -  v 8 to 9.

 If you  really keep the royal law found in scripture,  Love your neighbour as yourself,  You are doing right.

But if you show favouritism,  You sin and are convicted by the law as law breakers.

 Hebrews  10  - v - 24 to 25.

 And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.

Let us not give up meeting together,  As some are in the habit of doing,  But let us encourage one another,  And all the more as you see the day approaching.

 Hebrews  12  -  v 14 to 15.

 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be Holy;  For without Holiness no-one will see the Lord.

See to it that no-one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

 Hebrews  13  -  v - 1 to 2.

 Keep on loving each other as brothers.

Do not forget to entertain strangers,  For by so doing some have entertained Angels without knowing it.

 1 peter  3 - v - 8.

 Finally,  All of you,  Live in harmony with one another;  Be sympathetic,  Love as brothers,  Be compassionate and humble.

 1 Peter  4  -  v 7 to 11.

 The end of all things is near.  Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

Above all,  Love each other deeply,  Because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.   Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,  Faithfully administering Gods grace in its various forms.

If anyone speaks,  He should do it as one speaking the very words of God.

If anyone serves,  He should do it with the strength God provides,  So that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

To him be the Glory and the Power for ever and ever.   Amen.

 1 John  1  -  v  9 to 10.

 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.

Whoever loves his brother lives in the light,  And there is nothing in him to make him stumble.

 1 John  -  3  - v 11.

 This is the message you heard from the beginning:  We should love one another.

 1 John  -  4  - v - 7 to 8.

 Dear friends, Let us love one another,  For love comes from God.

Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Whoever does not love does not know God,  Because God is love.

 1 Corinthians  -  12  -  v 12 to 13.   And all ch 13.

 The body is a unit, Though it is made up of many parts; And though all its parts are many, They form one body.

So it is with Christ.

For we were all baptised by one Spirit into one body, Whether Jews or Greeks, Slave or free, And we were all given the one Spirit to drink..

 Acts  4  -  v - 31 to  35.

 After they prayed, The place where they were meeting was shaken.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly.

All the believers were one in heart and mind.

No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, But they shared everything they had.

With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, And much grace was upon them all.

There were no needy persons among them.

For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, Brought the money from the sales, And put it at the apostles feet, And it was distributed to anyone as he had need.

 Acts  2  -  v  -  42 to 47.

 They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, To the braking of bread and to prayer.

Everyone was filled with awe, And many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.

All the believers were together and had everything in common.

Selling their possessions and goods, They gave to anyone as he had need.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.

They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, Praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people.

And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

 Acts  5  -  v 42.   And acts 6  - v - 7.

 Day after day,  In the temple courts and from house to house,  They never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

 So the word of God spread.  The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly,  And a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

 Acts  1  - v - 14.

They all joined together constantly in prayer, Along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, And with his brothers.

 Acts  1  -  v - 6 to 8.

 So when they met together, They asked him, Lord,  Are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel ?.

He said to them:   It is not for you to know the times or dates the Fathers has set by his own authority.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;   And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,    and in all Judea,  Samaria,  And to the ends of the earth.

 Acts  2  - v - 1 to 4.

 When the day of Pentecost came, They were all together in one place.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from Heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

True unity is a weapon - For our weapons mighty for the pulling down of strongholds.

Its says in the Word that the prayers of a righteous man accomplish much.

For when we are together in true unity and prayer,  Putting aside all our agendas and plans of how we are going to things, Of how we want things to happen then our prayers will shake this place,  Shake the people,  Will shake our towns and cities,  Will shake our counties,   Will shake this world,  Will stir heaven.

For when they prayed together, The room was shaken,  For the Lord hears prayers spoken in true unity with a pure heart.

For unity is true love, Unity is taking up your cross daily for each other.

Unity is not going home,  Gossiping,  Back biting and moaning,  People lording it over each other, Thinking they are better than others, For such things are sin, Are rooted in pride.

Those that do such things receive not because they are not in the will of the Father, Ask with wrong motives, Are Glory stealers.     

These things need to be repented of.

True unity is preferring others above yourself,  For unity is humility.

For unity is the family of God,  Yes unity is the cross, Is going the extra mile.

For the Lord has prayed that his people shall be one, Prayed to his Father.

For when we are in true unity, The lost will be saved and they will stay saved and not drift away back to the world.

When we are in true unity many more people will get healed.

For it is by the love that you show for each other in unity,  That all men will be drawn unto me says the Lord.

For you are My Army, You must march as one and follow My Commands.  Obey My Word.  Use the gifts I have given you. Let your Fruit grow into maturity.  Not use the freedom I have given you as an excuse for the flesh to rule you, To fall into sin.

For when you are in true unity, You will know longer be tossed about by every wind of mans doctrine,  For you would no longer be on the milk,  But would be feeding on the Meat of My Word,  For then you would not need no man to teach you but by My Spirit,  For all will then know the Lord, Will know My Word, Will hear my still small voice saying to you all,  This is the way walk in it.  For you will have reached maturity in me says the Lord.

For divided you will fall.  But united you will stand in me says the Lord.

Yes pray as one.  Love as one.  Repent as one.  Give as one.  March as one.  Follow My Royal Law says the Lord.

That's the power of true unity.
