How do we taste by Dave Howe.
Taste and see that the Lord is Good.
Psalms:34:8: O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
----------------------------
How do we taste in the Spirit to each other, Taste to others around us?
Do we taste of the Lord or do we taste of ourselves, Taste of the flesh.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Ga:5:13: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Ga:5:14: For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Ga:5:15: But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Ga:5:16: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Ga:5:17: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Ga:5:18: But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Ga:5:19: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Ga:5:20: Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Ga:5:21: Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Ga:5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Ga:5:23: Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Ga:5:24: And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Ga:5:25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Ga:5:26: Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

How does our fruit taste.
Does it taste good when others bite into it or does it just look good on outside but is rotten on the inside making others spit it out, Make them sick and ill.
For good fruit takes time to grow, Takes time to mature.
The other day I heard that some were preaching that they could lay hands on others so that they can be instantly mature, Be instantly fruitful.
Can a seed instantly become a fruit bearing plant, A baby become a man overnight.
No a seed has to be planted in good soil, watered and given good food and Light and with time it will grow into a plant which will produce good tasting fruit.
In the same way we have to be planted in Good soil (The Word of God) to be looked after by The Good Shepherd our Lord Jesus Christ (The Gardener) who Waters us with (The Holy Spirit) and shows us The Way by Shinening his Light upon us for he Jesus is the Light of the World.
The light that will show us His Way that we may walk in The Light as He (Jesus Christ) is the Light.
Take patience for example (one of the fruits of the spirit).
How many of us think we are patient people, no one I would guess if we are honest about it.
How many times have we lost patience on the inside (as well as shown it outside sometimes) Grrrr woof woof Bark Bark Bite BITE.
Can we be instantly patient just like that. No we have learn to grow to be patient so that good fruit grows within us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lu:8:15: But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ro:5:3: And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Ro:5:4: And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Ro:5:5: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Ro:15:4: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Ro:15:5: Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Ro:15:6: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-------------------------------------------------
Something else that came to mind is forgiveness.
How many times have we said we have forgiven someone but in our hearts we have not.
We see someone whom has hurt us or we disagree with and we will not go near them or go to a party or meeting if they are there because we are still offended by them.
If we really have forgiven them then we would not do this for by doing this we are hurting ourselves even if they still disagree with us.
Let us spray that bad root with Repentance so that the good fruit of forgiveness will grow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lu:17:1: Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
Lu:17:2: It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
Lu:17:3: Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
Lu:17:4: And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So how do we taste to those around us.
Do we taste of the Lord or do we taste of the flesh.
Is fruit that is tasty on the inside growing within or do we just look good on the surface but are rotten and insipid within.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joh:15:2: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Joh:15:3: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Joh:15:4: Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh:15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Joh:15:6: If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Joh:15:7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Joh:15:8: Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Joh:15:9: As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
Joh:15:10: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Joh:15:11: These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Joh:15:12: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Joh:15:13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Joh:15:14: Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Joh:15:15: Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Joh:15:16: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Joh:15:17: These things I command you, that ye love one another.
