What spirit are we of ?

Do we know what spirit we are of ? - When we reject others – Especially our brothers and sisters whom the Lord has bought with his blood.

Many times we reject each other over points of doctrine – Reject them over points of order – Reject them over the way they teach – The way they prophesy – Worship – Education – Over what version of the bible they use – The way they look and speak and many more.

In fact so often we look for ways to reject and fault find all in the name of contenting for the faith and doctrinal purity because we think our way is the right way and we know all truth.

We then pray that all others would see the truth and be converted our ways and join our denominations – Free church – House fellowship or organization and whatever 1001 names we call it – Try the get ( the others ) to submit to our ways in the name of Jesus.

Many times we have others asking us  – What do you feel about this n that and when they did not get the right answer – Bang we are attacked  - Called heretics and cut off – We do not hear from them again.

In the process we use the The Sword of the Word of God to stab and cut each other up – Using the Word to cut others off.

We break our words and betray others – Break covenants – Break fellowship at the drop of a hat when we find some fault in them when we should be holding our hands out as the Lord held his hands out to us – Held his hands out on the cross so the our sins can be forgiven.

For we see though a glass dimly yet act as if we see face to face – Act like we know it all when in fact we act more like the blind guides leading the blind.

Many times we are to busy doing the Lords work to have time for each other – Its like we are driven along by a spirit other than Christ's – All the while working ourselves and those around us into the ground – Neglecting that which Christ considered important.

Some scriptures to consider.

Zachariah 7.9.10.

Zec:7:9: Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

Zec:7:10: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

Isaiah 58.9.14

Isa:58:9: Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.  If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Isa:58:10: And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

Isa:58:11: And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Isa:58:12: And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Isa:58:13: If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Isa:58:14: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Matthew – 5.33.48.

M't:5:33: Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

M't:5:34: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

M't:5:35: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

M't:5:36: Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

M't:5:37: But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

M't:5:38: Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

M't:5:39: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

M't:5:40: And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

M't:5:41: And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

M't:5:42: Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

M't:5:43: Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

M't:5:44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

M't:5:45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

M't:5:46: For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

M't:5:47: And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

M't:5:48: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 7.1.29.

M't:7:1: Judge not, that ye be not judged.

M't:7:2: For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

M't:7:3: And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

M't:7:4: Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

M't:7:5: Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

M't:7:6: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

M't:7:7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

M't:7:8: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

M't:7:9: Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

M't:7:10: Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

M't:7:11: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

M't:7:12: Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

M't:7:13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

M't:7:14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

M't:7:15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

M't:7:16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

M't:7:17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

M't:7:18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

M't:7:19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

M't:7:20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

M't:7:21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

M't:7:22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

M't:7:23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

M't:7:24: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

M't:7:25: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

M't:7:26: And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

M't:7:27: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

M't:7:28: And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

M't:7:29: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Matthew 10.40.42.

M't:10:40: He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

M't:10:41: He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

M't:10:42: And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.                                         Kjb.

Lets not judge each other after the flesh – Judge other after our own doctrines likes and dislikes.

For in the same way we shall be judged – For we are being judged by the same measure that we judge others – That is why there is trouble and strife – So much division and sickness in the body – That’s why is so hard to win and hold people for Christ – The people of the world can see what's happening – And why should they come if its more of the same.

Let us all repent this – Let us repent off thinking/acting as if we know better than others – Repent of thinking we know better than Christ – Repent of Rejecting – Breaking covenants and oaths with our brothers and sisters.

Repent of being busy and not having time for others.

Let us repent and ask the Lord to take the plank out of our eyes before we try to take the speck out of another's eye – For if we try to take the speck out of another's eye while having a plank in our own eye – Then we will only blind another from seeing the Lord a bit more clearly.

Let us love those will disagree with us over some little point – Lets it be shown that we are sons of our Father in Heaven who makes the sun to shine and sends the rain on all.

For if you just love those who love you – What reward will you get if you greet only your brothers for even the pagans do that – But lets go the extra mile – Lets give our lives for others as Christ gave his life and then rose again.

Let us bury ourselves – Bury those doctrines – Much of which is our personal opinions – Our likes and dislikes – The way we try to mould others into our ways.

Let us stop stabbing – Cutting and calling down fire on each other.

For who receives you receives me – And he who receives me receives the one who sent me.

Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophets reward – And anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous mans reward.

And if anyone give even a cup of cold water to one these little ones because he is my disciple – I tell you the truth – He will certainly not lose his reward.

Let us receive each other as Christ receives us – May we be hot for each other and not cold or Luke warm – Let return to out first love Jesus Christ – Then we shall be able to love others as Christ loves us.

For it will be by the love that you show each other that men will be drawn to Christ.

May we know what spirit we are of  - May it be of the Spirit of Christ in all things.

Adapted from a message given in Living Waters fellowship on Jan 12th

Blood brothers.

You men of God I charge you to move as one - To move together as blood brothers.

For it is by My Blood that I have brought you together for such a time as this.

For I have paid the price for you with My Blood says the Lord.

For just as I gave my life up for you upon the Cross  - So I would have each of you to give up your lives for each other  -  To take up your cross day by day  -  For who ever loses his life for me - Loses his life for his brother - Will find life eternal.

So I would say to you again - Move as one - Work together as one.  For you are blood brothers - For I have made a covenant with you with My Blood.

For who ever breaks his covenant with his brothers - Breaks his covenant with me.

Yes pray for - Protect each other - Keep short accounts with each other - Let your yes be yes and your no be no.

For if the enemy can get you to back bite each other - Then my sheep will be scattered.

Yes be as one - Feed my sheep - Be as gentle as doves - But wise as serpents.

For it will be by the love that you show each other that all men will be drawn unto me.
