Freedom in Christ, Statues of men will fall.

For whom the Son sets free is really free – Where the Spirit of the Lord is – There is liberty.

 

When I was watching what was happening in Baghdad with the people coming out and pulling that statue of Saddam down this came to me.

 

For the idols that men have placed of themselves in place of Christ will fall – Yes they will fall on faces before Christ – For every knee will bow and every mouth will confess that Jesus is Lord.

 

Men have placed themselves above the people in place of Christ – For many have made themselves as lords over the people – Many have lorded it over the people which the Lord warned us not to do.

 

Many have built big organisations they say in the name of Christ – But in reality they have been deceived by the wickedness in their hearts – For the hearts of men are desperately wicked being deceived and deceiving itself by its own self righteousness.

 

Many have ruled over the people like hard taskmasters using the whips of religion – Doctrines of made of men – Fear and condemnation.

Cleverly using the scriptures just as the devil tried to use the scriptures against Jesus when he was in the wilderness after he was baptised and Spirit had come down on him as a dove.

 

Today we have this covering doctrine which men say they are over us.

Then they feed the people what ever they wish – For we are Gods appointed rulers over the people they say – We are here to protect you they would say but in reality they dictators and don’t know it – Thinking they doing good in their own eyes.

Those that do such things are blocking the Light of Christ from the People.

( I had a picture of a great light shining down but in front of this light there were men casting their shadows over the people – They are blocking out much of the Light.

These men are eclipsing the Lord much as the moon covers the sun during a total eclipse.

The people want the light but these shadow men keep pushing them back. )

 

For where the Spirit of the Lord is – There is liberty – For whom the Son sets free is free indeed – Free from sin – Free from the world and its ways.

 

On Friday 11^th April 2003 we had a meeting in Ramsgate – Worship flowed like water – The Holy Spirit flowed like water – The Gifts flowed as water – The meeting just flowed

Some of the people there said – You have such freedom here – Its something that we do not see much of today – There was no one at the front telling people to jump or to do this and that to bring down the Spirit or to work it up.

Even though it was almost 3 hours we were all together the people stayed – If we had more time the meeting would have rolled on.

People were being set free by Lord – breakthrough was happening in their lives.

 

On Sunday 13/4.03 we visited another fellowship - My wife Georgina could not wait to speak of what God had done – And she spoke with fire – Usually she does not like speaking publicly – She had been set free - I was well wowed.

What was holding her back had bowed the knee and Jesus Set her free – Fear had gone.

 

If we have things in our lives known and hidden – Fear of man – Wanting to be in control – Hidden pride – Insecurity and more then fall at Jesus feet – Yes bow down unto him who died and rose again to set us free from sin.

Fall upon the rock and let self be broken least the rock falls on you and grinds you to powder.

Repent And Christ will lay his nail scared hands on you – Yes he will – For he loves you more than you can know.

 

For whom the Son sets free – Is free indeed – Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.

Liberty in our lives – Liberty in our families – Liberty when we meet together.

We should be rejoicing more than those people in Baghdad whom have been freed from a dictator – For Christ has set us free from the greatest dictators of all called sin and death.

 

May we keep ever watchful for there are those who would want to take away the freedom Christ gives by casting their shadow doctrines over us – Take away our freedom bit by bit - Making us slaves to their laws for like snakes as they slip their coils around us to crush the life out of us.

 

But remember as happened Baghdad when some of the people went wild not to use our freedom as an excuse for sin and mayhem – For with freedom comes responsibility and self control.

 

Remember what happen to Adam and Eve in the garden.

 

Be free in Christ – Stay free in Christ.
