Are we missing God ?

Are we missing What God is doing around us, Missing what he is doing in the lives of those around us.

 

Are we so busy doing our own religious thing that we do not see God moving in the lives of our friends, Brothers and sisters, Family, Fellowship and even our own lives, In those about to be saved.

 

As some of you know I could not walk outside without crutches but on Monday 17^th Feb 2003 the Lord touched me in a big way in that suddenly I could walk outside unaided.

The last time I could walk like this was back in the first week of November 2000 – Then suddenly my leg collapsed, I could not move it, spent the next 9 days in hospital.

A word was given that I would be healed in bursts, And Monday 17^th Feb was one of those bursts.

 

I have been visiting, Showing myself to Christian people around town that have known me for years.

Its like some just do not see and I have to explain what has happened – Its like a blindness is over them. (There are those that are excited as well)

 

What came to me during one encounter was – Some are so busy doing/working their own thing religious things that they miss God working around them.

 

This is so sad and dangerous – For if we cannot see something as obvious as a miracle taking place before our eyes – Then how can we hear that still small voice of the Lord in our lives.

Has the world got in and blinded, Deafened us to the work/Word of the Lord.

Has the unbelief  of the world infected our lives that we box God in – Cannot see God working around us many ways.

 

As I walk along I see many people with their eyes on the ground – They rarely look up to see the sky – Never look up to see the beauty of God Creation around them – All they see is their feet walking in the dirt, Walking on man make concrete.

And it’s the same with many who call themselves Christians.

 

Its so sad that I see many going around with blank eyes and tight lips – Its like they have lost their first love.

 

Jesus Christ Died and Rose again to set us free from sin and death – His yoke/burden is light.

We should be all aglow with the Light of Christ Shining from within.

Should be walking around as lights in a dark world – The love and power the risen Lord flowing as living water to a dry land around us, We should be the most joyous people on earth. (This has nothing to do with those sad times that come from time to time in our lives  – For we soon bounce back – Get on our feet in the power of Christ)

 

We should be filled with the Holy Spirit and Fire – Going forward as the 120 did at Pentecost onto the streets, And we all know what happened that day when 3,000 men came to Christ.

We should be turning the world upside down (or the right way up) as the apostles were accused of.

 

Lets not allow the world to make us so busy in our lives, Fellowships and ministries that we miss God.

May we look up and see the miracles Christ is doing around us, May we hear his still small voice within, May we be truly filled with the Holy Spirit and Fire.

Let us repent of doing our own thing – May we look up and see what God is Doing, And remember that the greatest miracle of all is Salvation – Let us be glad and rejoice in it.

 

May we not miss what God is doing.
